Wed, 23 May 2007 ![]() SpellCast released its first episode exactly one year ago today and has come a long way since then! As you all know, our first joint live podcast took place at Phoenix Rising this past weekend! We'd like to thank everyone who took part in both the live podcast play and Spinner's Alley show! You guys were all wonderful, Josh and I had an amazing time and we were also glad to meet all the cool SpellCast fans there. Also, special thanks to Dr. Henry Jenkins, who mentioned SpellCast on his official weblog and who had kindly agreed to play Dumbledore in "The Three Trials of Severus Snape". The live podcast will be available for download soon so be on the lookout!

Wed, 16 May 2007 Before I head off to the Big Easy, I wanted to give everyone an in-depth run down of what's happening with the podcast play. We will be having our main auditions on Friday between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM outside of the Starbucks in the Sheraton Hotel. At 5:00 PM, we'll post the cast list, location to be determined, and the location where you can pick up your script. If you've already sent in your audition via e-mail, be sure to still drop by so we can put a face to the audition. So, if you sent in your audition already, you won't have to stick around and read lines, but we do need for you to show up and say hello. Any parts not filled will be open to auditioners during FictionAlley's meet and greet event at the Pelican Bar inside of the Sheraton Hotel from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Saturday. We'll also be going over how the podcast play will work and how the audience plays into it. So even if you're not looking for a part, it might be informative to stop by and see what the podcast play is all about. Final rehearsal is at 7:00 PM and we request that all performers be in Ballroom C at 8:45, prepared to go on stage. The show will run from 9:00 PM until 9:30 PM. That's all for now, if you have any questions, be sure to look for people in orange SpellCast t-shirts. Trust us, we'll be hard to miss! Category: News -- posted at: 3:13 AM Comments[87] |
